Lava Chamber-Terrain Rental
This terrain has MANY uses. Let your imaginations run wild. Here are a few ideas to get your session started:
Hook #1: Stories have been shared in this town for years... Stories about a treasure hoard hidden deep within the mountain, inside a place made of fire. Are there any adventurers brave enough to venture forth and claim this treasure?
Hook #2: It has been three days since the ground split open. We thought the heat and the lava the poured forth were terrible. The creatures that have spewed forth are far worse. They are bred from nightmare. We must seal the tear if we are to survive. Perhaps the way to do this, the way to save us all, resides deep within the tear itself...
Whispering Caverns--Terrain Rental
The Whispering Caverns offer numerous storytelling options. Here are a few ideas to get your next session going:
Hook #1: A Long abandoned mine is situated on the outskirts of town. It has been years since any mining activity has occurred. However, recently strange lights and odd sounds have been observed coming from within.
Hook #2: The town was attacked by a band of (Bandits, Kobolds, Gnolls, etc) in the night--leaving a wake of destruction and confusion. As the sun rises, two things are clear. The fiendish beasts fled with their stolen goods and have blockaded themselves inside the cavern, and, much more pressing...five children are also missing.
Jungle Ruins-Terrain Rental
Many adventures await deep within the Jungle Ruins.
Hook #1: As the party travels through the hot, humid, and overgrown jungle they happen upon long forgotten ruins. As they begin inspection they notice a pool of magical essence, swirling and sparking, atop a small set of stairs. A strange crackling sound fills the jungle as a strange beast begins to emerge from the pool...
Hook #2: The party has been sent deep into the jungle by the Arch Mage of the local college. They are in search of a rich font of magical essence said to reside there. The task is simple, collect a sample of this strange, purplish magical essence. Should be simple...
Mountain Cave--Terrain Rental
How many ways can you think to use this terrain? We started thinking about it 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped yet! The "top" is removable and reveals the interior of the cave--including a secret passage.
Hook #1: Strange sounds have been heard coming from a cave situated at the base of the mountains. You have been asked to explore the source of these sounds and determine if the villagers are safe.
Hook #2: A goblin outpost has been discovered just outside of town. The cave is large and there is no way of knowing how large the "infestation" has become.
Hook #3: A child comes running into town screaming about that he saw a giant, two-headed monster wandering through the forest. He was able to sneak away, but he saw the beast enter a large cave.
The Nest--Terrain Rental
Another flexible and dynamic terrain setting for you to create a multitude of adventures! This piece can be used with removable Nest and Bridge pieces for even more flexibility. Use it as a Pool terrain, or as The Nest!
Hook #1: People in town have been becoming quite ill. The root of the problem has been traced back to the water supply. The locals were tipped off when the incoming stream brought with it several feathers and quite a bit of blood...
Hook #2: A caravan, heading out of town, has gone missing. As your party tracks the wheel ruts out of town, you come closer and closer to an area known as The Narrows--the only place safe enough to cross the river for miles. There you see, standing in front of the bridge, an array of (Bandits, Bugbear, Goblins, Mages, etc). Beside them is an over-turned wagon and what looks to be blood and signs of struggle.
The Barracks--Terrain Rental
Need a guards barracks for your next session? Leading up to a dungeon crawl but don't just want to role-play your way to the dungeon? Check out The Barracks!
Hook #1: The party awakens suddenly. Each find themselves alone. The sound of dripping water punctuates the silence and the smells....oh god, the smells. As their eyes focus, one things is evident--they need to escape.
Hook #2: The party has been sent to infiltrate a (Goblin, Bugbear, Bandit, etc) stronghold. A chieftain has seized a castle from the hands of the local guard. It needs to be returned to the city and any captured guards freed. Time is of the essence.
The Boneyard--Terrain Rental
Another Rental terrain coming to you from Plaid Elephant! How will your party use this one? Here are some thoughts:
Hook #1: As the party returns to town from adventuring, they are searching for a place to rest. They round a corner and are suddenly amidst a sea of countless bones from LARGE beasts. What creature could have taken down such large foes? Then they see a campfire, still smoking. If someone else camped here this place couldn't be that bad, right?
Hook #2: Against their better judgement, the party decides to investigate a scattering of large bones deep in the forest. It's strange, really, the bones were not there a few days ago. As they investigate throughout the day they do not find anything of note--no blood, no treasures, no other people. As the sun disappears over the horizon however, the chattering, clicking sound of moving bones fills the night air...
